I spent a Sunday evening with old friends, Anja and Hein, cruising along Chapman’s Peak in Hein’s 30-year-old Mercedes.

We paused at a lookout, lingered in the fading light, and eventually followed the winding road down to the beach – where Cape Town revealed its effortless beauty, as it always does.
