“The survival of humankind depends on our ability to stop rushing.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh

Dave + Paula invited us to capture their wonderful story at Sabi Sabi, a private game reserve on the border of one of our favourite places in the world, the Kruger National Park. Most of them are living abroad or from Cape Town and haven't seen each other in quite a while, so they took the entire week to celebrate Dave + Paula's union and to explore this rich cultural and natural area together. They created space for their loved ones to fully immerse themselves in the wild and breathe.

They filled the week with fruitful game drives (we literally saw over 20 wild dog pups at once, do you know how scarce any wild dog sighting is?), sundowners on the vast grass plains, late night DJ sessions (basically all their friends are DJ's - ridiculous, I know), and then, the actual wedding day:

These two said their vows under a massive Jackalberry tree in the middle of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, surrounded by their dearest people, played around in the soft rain while we took photos of just the two of them and ended the night/next morning off with a silent disco.

Dave + Paula, thank you for trusting us to capture your people, your story.

Nina x
